Severe weather!

We  gaan hier sinds gisteren door een periode van veel regen, met de bekende south-easterlies winds...

Hier een copie van de 'severe weather warning' issued by MetService (onze KNMI) vanavond (dinsdag):

"Rain and wind has eased in Bay of Plenty. In Gisborne the heaviest falls are over but outbreaks of rain are forecast through to Thursday. 100 to 150mm of rain is expected near the ranges and coastal hills in Hawkes Bay and Tararua District through to Wednesday evening on top of what has already fallen and rivers and streams are likely to rise further. Expect slips on roads, especially in hilly areas. A broad swathe of strong southeast winds from the central North Island across to Taranaki and down to Kapiti Coast, Wellington, Marlborough Sounds and Golden Bay is bringing severe gales at times in exposed places with gusts to 130 km/h causing damage to trees, power lines and insecure roofs and making driving hazardous. These winds start easing on Wednesday morning".

We blijven dus maar lekker binnen...
Hopelijk wordt het allemaal beter snel, maar ook de vooruitzichten zijn niet fraai.
Geniet maar extra van jullie zomer, hoewel jullie juist wel wat regen kunnen gebruiken (maar geen 150mm volgens mij..)
